my first thoughts for this project involved ordinance survey maps focusing on the broads. maps have long fascinated, my alter ego, with my partner maree is mapmap. so a generator of fictitious broads or autobroad suggested itself. (see instance above)

this became the basis of the work which, as usual with this series of works, is variable using invisible buttons in the animation.

the image sometimes in the background is of the pollen of Phragmites australis or Common Reed-Grass.
